The Borneo International Yachting Challenge, the first truly international yachting event in the waters off Borneo, is a joint effort of three Malaysian Borneo States, Sarawak, the Federal Territory (F.T.) of Labuan, and Sabah, organised under the auspices of the Malaysian Yachting Association.

This year’s Borneo Race is in its 7th season. Since 2003 we have had an average of 20 boats from all over the world participating, from as far as St Vincent. This year's provisional schedule will see yachts taking part in the Miri Bay Regatta, Passage Race from Miri to Brunei, a passage race from Brunei to Labuan, a Passage Race from Labuan to Kota Kinabalu and the KK Bay Regatta.
