The Borneo International Yachting Challenge, the first truly international yachting event in the waters off Borneo, is a joint effort of two Malaysian Borneo States, Sarawak and Federal Territory (F.T.) of Labuan, organised under the auspices of the Sarawak Sailing Association. This event comprises of three parts, namely the Labuan Harbour Regatta, the Passage Race from Labuan to Miri and the Miri Bay Regatta.

This year’s Borneo Race is in its 5th season and with Brunei as the next potential race partner, the race will see added interest and attraction and draw in more participants. Since 2003 we have had an average of 20 boats from all over the world participating, from as far as St Vincent.

ALL PARTICIPATING YACHTS will each receive US$400 as an added incentive to help with boat and crew expenses during the event.
